1856 Antique Print Hand Coloured an engraving, The Ostrich by Harrison Weir.
The prints where published by Darton and Co of Holborn Hill London in 1856 and are taken from Stories About Birds by an unnamed author, credited as a Young Naturalist.The actual printing was done by William Stevens. Also has a Leighton Brothers stamp on bottom right.
Print is in excellent condition with very strong colours, only one small dot of foxing, paper has a small amount of ageing mainly to edges. Please see pictures.
Print is 6 1/2 inches by 5 inches with the paper area bringing it to 8 by 6 1/2.
